Driveway resurfacing in Bothell: hillside drives above North Creek
Bothell rises out of the Sammamish River and North Creek valleys onto hills like Maywood, Norway Hill and Westhill. Most homes there have paved driveways, but some properties still sit at the end of long gravel drives or shared private roads, especially on sloped, wooded parcels. On a grade, water that should cross the surface runs down it instead, and the ruts it cuts turn into potholes by spring. That is where driveway resurfacing and re-crowning earn their keep.
Access is the first thing we check in Bothell. The CAT 275XE needs room to reach the drive and a place to turn or back out, so we look at gates, parked cars and the connection to the street. Then we look at where uphill water enters the gravel, how much usable rock is left, and whether the steepest pitch needs new 5/8-minus rock compacted in layers.
