    THE SASQUATCH SSR SYSTEM

Stump grinding or stump removal: what you actually need

Most people searching for stump removal don't need the whole root system dug out. They need the stump gone and the ground usable again. Grinding does that by cutting the stump and its root flare down below the surface, without the crater, the heavy digging and the hauling that full excavation leaves behind.

Our stump grinding is built for big stumps and several at once. The CAT 275XE and SG36 grind the widest root flare at ground level down to the depth your next use needs, up to 20.5 inches below grade. Deep and lateral roots normally stay and break down over time. Full root excavation is quoted separately when a project really needs it.

When grinding is the right call

    Stumps after tree work

Trees came down and the stumps were left behind, flush cut or a foot or two high.

    Several stumps at once

A row, a cluster or stumps scattered across the property. Several in one visit is where this setup works best.

    Old logging stumps

Big cedar and fir stumps left on acreage from logging or land clearing years ago.

In the way of a plan

A lawn, fence line, garden, shop pad or driveway is waiting on the stump to be gone.

    Mower and equipment hazard

Low stumps and exposed root flares that blades and tires keep hitting.

    Wide root flares

Flares spreading into the lawn or lifting the ground, much wider than the cut on top.

    WHY IT KEEPS COMING BACK

Cutting a stump flush doesn't give you your ground back.

    Mower hazard

A low stump or exposed flare can remain a collision point long after the tree is gone.

    Unusable ground

The stump blocks lawn, planting, gravel, fencing and access plans until its finish depth is defined.

    Too many stumps

Tow-behind production can become inefficient on rural multi-stump properties. The SG36 is designed for productive batches.

    Mess after grinding

Grinding is only part of the result. Chip management, backfill and surface finish should be selected before work starts.

    HOW WE DO IT

    How our stump grinding works

The SG36 pairs a 21.5-inch wheel and 32 carbide teeth with hydraulic swing, extension and depth control from the cab—built for productive multi-stump work.

This company was amazing. They did an exceptional job on our property despite a bothersome neighbor hassling them. Brandon did an excellent job on bringing my vision to a clear quote and even moved some junk around into a neat pile that was scattered on the prop. Then he worked with us again when our financing was less than our quote and made it to where we could still get what we were looking for within our budget.…

So glad I was able to find Sasquatch Land Co. They are based out of the Snohomish County, and I live down in Buckley, but they were willing to make the trip all the way out here to work on my property. Boy did they do an incredible job. The blackberry and overgrowth clearing was impressive. I’d recommend them wherever you are, but if you live in Snohomish County, they are the company to call. Thank you Sasquatch team…

Sasquatch Land did an outstanding job clearing about half an acre at our home in Coupeville. It was a big job, with a lot of overgrowth and material to deal with, and they knocked it out.

They showed up ready to work, had the right equipment, worked efficiently, and left the property looking great. The difference is incredible. What had been an overgrown part of the property is now cleared, usable, and manageable.…

    Incredible speed, service, and results!

Jeni answered my inquiry within minutes, which was amazing. I didn’t have time to get distracted by the next thing on my to-do list! 😂

Brandon came out the same week to access the property and our needs. He didn’t try to oversell us on anything, and he was very knowledgeable and professional.

Eric and his helper came out the next week. I was honestly shocked at how fast the…
