Stump grinding in Shoreline: big trees on small lots
Shoreline's older neighborhoods, from Ridgecrest and Echo Lake to Innis Arden and Richmond Beach, grew up around tall Douglas fir, western red cedar and bigleaf maple. Lots are modest in size, and many trees stand close to houses, fences and neighbors. When one comes down for safety or a view, it leaves a stump whose root flare can reach well past the cut, often in a backyard behind a fence.
That makes access the first question in Shoreline, not stump size. We check gate width, side-yard clearance, steps and retaining walls between the street and each stump, and whether the lawn can carry the machine in wet weather. If the CAT 275XE can't get there, a smaller walk-behind grinder is the right call, and we'll tell you so. Utility locates are called in before any grinding.
