Stump removal in Kenmore: view slopes and wooded lots near the lake
Kenmore's hills above Lake Washington are thick with tall Douglas fir, western red cedar and bigleaf maple, and plenty of owners take trees down to open a view or get them away from the roof. What's left is often a large stump on a slope, in a yard that steps down toward the lake or the Sammamish River. Wide root flares and steep ground in the same spot make access the deciding question.
On the assessment we measure each root flare, then trace a route for the machine from the street to the stump. We look at the grade, rockeries, fences and any soft ground near the bottom of the lot. Stumps on steep slopes near the shoreline or a stream can carry city or county rules, so we check before work. If the machine can't get there safely, we say so.
