Stump grinding in Snohomish, from the river flats to the hills
Snohomish is our home base, and the ground around town changes fast. The historic core sits where the Pilchuck meets the Snohomish River, farms spread across the flat valley, and the hills rising toward Fobes Hill and Machias hold older homesteads with big second-growth cedar and fir. Those lots often carry several large stumps at once, from trees taken down for light, a new shop or storm damage. Each one has a root flare far wider than its cut.
We look at every stump the same way: the widest root flare at ground level, what sits nearby, and what you want there afterward. On older lots near downtown, stumps can hide old fence posts, brick or concrete, and we probe for that first. In the valley we check how soft the ground is. Utility locates through 811 are requested before any grinding starts. Then you Take Your Land Back.
