Stump grinding in Bellingham: wooded neighborhoods and lake lots
A lot of Bellingham is built into forest. Neighborhoods like Edgemoor, Samish and Silver Beach, and lots around Lake Padden and Lake Whatcom, sit among tall Douglas fir, western red cedar and bigleaf maple. When one of those trees comes down, it leaves a large stump with a root flare spreading into lawn, beds and walkways. On sloped lots near the lake, stumps also tend to sit on uneven ground close to the house.
Because many Bellingham lots are tighter than rural acreage, access is the first thing we check. The CAT 275XE needs a clear path to each stump, and fences, retaining walls and steep side yards can rule a stump out. Where we can reach, we measure the widest flare, protect what is nearby and set the depth for your next use, whether that is lawn, planting beds or a patio base.
