Stump grinding on Lynden farmland: tree lines, farmsteads and field edges
Farms around Lynden are laid out in big flat fields, and the trees that remain tend to be in rows: old windbreaks, fence-line firs and alders, and shade trees around the farmhouse and barns. When a farm widens a field, adds a building or replaces a failing tree line, those stumps have to go deep enough not to catch a tiller or a mower. Multiple stumps in a line on open, level ground suit the SG36 well.
For field work we agree on the next use before setting depth. Cropland may need a deeper grind than lawn, and the SG36 can reach up to 20.5 inches below grade. We measure each ground-line root flare, look for old fencing wire or metal grown into the wood, and have utilities located through 811. Chips can be spread, piled for your own use, or hauled as added scope.
