Stump grinding in Birch Bay: wooded uplands and close-set cabin lots
Birch Bay mixes two kinds of property. Along the water and around Birch Point, cabins and houses sit close together on small lots. Inland toward Blaine Road, Terrell Creek and the Birch Bay-Lynden Road, larger wooded parcels of fir, cedar and alder are still being cleared for new homes. Both leave stumps behind, and each has its own limits: tight access near the bay, and stump count and root spread on the wooded ground.
On a close-set cabin lot, the first question is whether the CAT 275XE can reach the stump without crossing a neighbor's yard, a drainfield or a narrow gap between buildings. On wooded parcels, it is how many stumps there are and what the cleared ground is for. We measure each widest flare, confirm utility locates through 811 and set the grinding depth to the finish you need.
