Gravel driveway grading in Everett: valley lanes and shared drives
Most of Everett is paved, but gravel still runs where the city meets open ground: farm and river lanes around Lowell and the Snohomish River delta, and shared private roads serving a few homes on the south-end plateau near Eastmont and Mariner. Valley lanes sit low and flat, so water has nowhere to go. Plateau drives cross dense glacial soil that drains slowly. Both grow potholes that reappear a week after anyone fills them, which is why gravel driveway grading beats another load of loose rock.
On the assessment we walk the whole drive and mark where water enters, where it stands and where it could leave. Then we check how much usable rock is still there under the mud and in the shoulders. If the base is sound, the PR121 reopens the surface and we rebuild the crown from that rock. Soft, pumping sections are subgrade work, and we price that separately after seeing it.
