Gravel driveway grading in Marysville: hillside drives and slough-side lanes
Marysville climbs from Ebey Slough and the flat ground near downtown up onto the Getchell and Sunnyside hills, with Tulalip land to the west across I-5. That gives the city two very different kinds of gravel driveway. Hillside drives coming off the plateau funnel rain straight down the rock, while low lanes near the slough stay wet for months. Gravel driveway grading here has to answer both: moving water off the steep sections and keeping the flat sections from ponding.
On the assessment we walk the drive from the road up, noting where runoff enters, where it leaves and where traffic has pushed rock into the shoulders. The CAT 275XE and PR121 power rake then reopen the surface, pull that rock back into the lane and rebuild the cross-slope. If the base underneath is soft or pumping, we say so and price that work separately rather than hiding it under fresh rock.
